So my hubby and I recently got married and and since last summer he’s introduced me to trot line fishing. This particular weekend he said let’s go put out lines on the pearl in Monticello. So that Friday he ran to McComb to the bait shop and bought a ton of goldfish, in my mind I’m thinking this isn’t going to work.
Well we load up and head north about 30 miles and launch the boat into the Pearl to put out lines. The next morning we go back and lord have mercy! He started pulling up the line and hollered GET THE NET BABY! It’s a BIG ONE! I have never in my life been speechless over a dang fish!
