My grandson loves to help me with anything I do. Here, we are burning a small stand of Loblolly Pines. I’m a retired Forester, but I still get my hands dirty by managing my wife’s family tree farm. Not only do we manage the trees, we manage for wildlife.
My grandson is about 6 years old here. He wanted to hold the drip torch so I gave it to him and told him what to do. He is our caboose and I know he’s young here, but he was well supervised, so why not.
We should start teaching this generation to do stuff like this. One day he’ll be doing this buy himself.
