This is Aspen my faithful lab that was my hunting buddy and best friend for 12 years. She passed away on New Year’s Day this year but this has always been my favorite picture of her.
She has retrieved hundreds of ducks, dove, and she was the absolute best at finding deer. She was the definition of loyal, calm, quiet, through snow, rain, no matter what she was always there by my side.
She’s been there for every milestone in my family’s life. Our wedding day, when we welcomed our two children, traveling for work, and she never left my side or theirs until the day she died.
There will never be another dog like our Aspen.
