Retired USN and had a chance to work on GITMO (yes, that GITMO Naval Station) as a construction contractor for a couple of years.
Whenever I had a chance, I would hike parts of the base property that I was allowed on. Great hike around Guantanamo Bay and the Point. Old original lighthouse in background, now a museum.
